The (Location) is looking for an individual who is motivated, enthusiastic, and customer service focused to join our Food and Beverage team as a full-time Assistant Sous Chef – Line Cook and Banquet. This is a working Chef position specializing in high-end banquets and Restaurants. We offer a fun environment and very competitive wages.
Assistant Sous Chef - Line Cook and Banquets Responsibilities:
The Assistant Sous Chef is responsible to help the Head Chef lead a team to prepare, season, and cook menu and non-menu orders according to LodgeWorks/Brand specifications. He/she will also help the Head Chef lead a team to clean and sanitize all work areas including kitchens, food preparation, dish washing, storage, service and other areas as directed. He/she may help order supplies or help keep records and accounts. He/she will follow safe food handling and service practices and work closely with the sales staff to service guests, banquets, meeting rooms, events, catering, restaurants and bars. This position may require inventory, scheduling, ordering supplies/food, and labor/food cost controls. He/she will comply with any licensing or regulatory requirements.
Experience/Education:
- Two-years + previous hotel (or like) kitchen supervisory experience preferred.
- Line cook/chef specializing in upscale Banquets and restaurants.
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- Food handling certificate in state or counties where required.
Hours of position
