The (Location) is looking for an experienced, dynamic individual to fill the critical role of Hotel Concierge.
The Concierge is responsible for providing attentive, courteous and efficient service to all guests throughout their stay and assisting guests with personal services. He/she may be responsible for taking messages, arranging or giving advice on transportation, business services or entertainment, or monitor guest requests for housekeeping and maintenance. He/she is expected to actively develop superior service skills in dealing with clients, guest, and co-workers.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Experience in boutique hotels or a related field required.
- Must be very knowledgeable about the area.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- MVR must meet LodgeWorks/Brand qualifications.
- Must be fluent in English.
SERVICE ATTITUDE AND COMMUNICATION
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with LodgeWorks/Brand dress code and uniform requirements.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.
- Establish and maintain good communications and team work with fellow employees and other departments within the hotel.
- Must be always attentive, courteous and efficient in the dealings with clients, guests, managers and all other employees.
- Demonstrate a genuine care and commitment to guest service.
- Greet and welcome all guests approaching the front desk or concierge desk in accordance with LodgeWorks/Brand standards.
- Develop a team player attitude for the good of the hotel.
- Focus on his/her role in contributing to the guest satisfaction survey.
- Attend guest functions willingly if requested.
CONCIERGE RESPONSIBILITY
- Make dining and other reservations for guests and obtain tickets to events.
- Provide information about local features such as shopping, dining, nightlife, and recreational destinations.
- Make travel arrangements for sightseeing and other tours.
- Receive, store, and deliver luggage and mail.
- Pick up and deliver items or run errands for guests.
- Carry out unusual requests such as searching for hard-to-find items and arranging for exotic services such as hot-air balloon rides.
- Arrange for the replacement of items lost by travelers.
- Arrange for interpreters or translators if a guest requires such services.
- Plan special events, parties, and meetings, which may include booking musicians or celebrities to appear.
- Give tours when requested.
- Perform office duties on a temporary basis when needed.
- Be familiar with all LodgeWorks/Brand policies and hotel rules, as well as hotel terminology.
- Develop full understanding of hotel amenities and services.
- Understand emergency procedures and be prepared to help when necessary.
- Be able to perform all duties of a Guest Service Representative and assist as needed at the Front Desk.
- Ensure correct and accurate cash handling while at the front desk.
- Use proper radio etiquette when communicating with other employees.
- Perform any other duties as requested by management.
